Travel through the sounds of 3000 kilometers that separate Brussels from Morocco, in a unique musical spectacle that celebrates migration and encounter. This ode to the rich traditions of Gnawa, traditional, jazz and fusion music promises to be an enchanting experience.
Hicham Bilali takes us back to the origins of Gnawa music, with his masterful playing of the guembri, qraqib and drums with compositions that embrace the soul of the host country and arrangements that explore new musical horizons in collaboration with excellent guest musicians.
Over the past 20 years, Hicham Bilali has collaborated with a diverse range of musicians from all corners of the world, from Algeria to Congo, from Belgium to India. Gnawa 3000k pays tribute to these encounters, enriching traditional sounds and sparking limitless creativity. Every concert within the 3000k project is a transformative experience, an invitation to discover and embrace new worlds.
Hajar Alaoui, a Moroccan singer with a remarkable career, weaves tradition and modernity into her enchanting music. Originally from Salé, she impressed at a young age with her exceptional voice, inspired by the legendary Oum Kalthoum. Passionate about Gnawa music, she settled in Essaouira, where her talent quickly took her to the musical scene. By working with renowned artists such as Hamid Bouchnak and participating in international projects, Hajar has created a unique fusion between her Moroccan heritage and contemporary influences. A talent that you absolutely must discover at the Gnawa Fest!
